about Us

PARTAGE TANZANIE is a non-governmental organization (NGO), neither political nor religious, founded in 1989 by a French social worker, Philippe Krynen.

It is located in Bukoba, a small town on the western shore of Lake Victoria, in the Kagera region, neighboring Uganda and Rwanda.

It was created at a time when AIDS was engulfing Africa, at the very epicenter of this epidemic in Tanzania.

The Organization's area of action covers a district of 1,600 km², with a population of 560,000 people (World Bank data in 2021) including 20,000 orphans.

When he discovered Kagera in 1988, the situation of its inhabitants, caught in the deep economic depression of the West Lake region, was dramatic. Although it is not yet said openly, AIDS is digging graves, calling for immediate action.
PARTAGE TANZANIE was then created, with the main objective of rescuing orphans in the Kagera region and bringing them to adulthood, educated, healthy and responsible.
