The farm school: training to integrate into the local socio-economic fabric
Training Rural Youth in Sustainable Agriculture Established in February 2014 in the Kabyaile village within the Victoria Programme area, the Farm School was designed and built by PARTAGE TANZANIA to offer a critical second chance to orphaned youth and those living in extreme poverty who missed out on secondary education and ended up without diplomas. Partage Tanzanie Rather than sending these young people to shaky urban jobs, the Farm School offers them a two-year agricultural training on-site, combining practical and theoretical learning. With Bukoba’s rapid growth and rising demand for produce, agriculture becomes a promising way for them to both nourish their families and generate independent income within their own communities. Partage Tanzanie Students benefit from on-site boarding and daily meals. They receive instruction from both teachers and agronomists in hands-on fields such as market gardening, small-scale livestock rearing, horticulture, and beekeeping, complemented by classes in English and bookkeeping. There are also ongoing studies exploring training in medicinal and pest-control plants. Partage Tanzanie france-parrainages.org At the end of the program, PARTAGE TANZANIA coordinates with families to secure a plot of land for each graduate and facilitates a year-long, personalized follow-up by an agronomist to support efficient farm management and assist in selling surplus produce at local markets.

Support the Sustainability of the Farm School
By sponsoring the Farm School, you enable many young orphans to access relevant agricultural training suited to their rural environment and the local market. Your sponsorship helps cover tuition-related costs (housing and meals) and supports the school’s day-to-day operations—salaries, tools, livestock, seeds—as well as personnel like the director, teacher, agronomy experts, cook, internat manager, and even a herdsman.

What will your donations be used for?
Current projections indicate that only 60% of the Farm School’s operating costs for 2024 are secured. An urgent €13,500 is needed to complete the budget and ensure this vital training center remains a stable resource for the 20 students enrolled in its two-year program.
