Sylivia: A Success That Touches Us

Some encounters give meaning to our commitment and remind us why we move forward, year after year, with such conviction. This past December, we experienced one of those precious moments that warms the heart and sets the tone for 2026 with the very best hopes.

On December 29, 2025, Sylivia came to visit us, accompanied by her husband Bartholomée and their three sons, Colin, Conrad, and Credo. Seeing Sylivia today is a reminder of the incredible journey she has taken. Orphaned at just six years old, she grew up in the village of Omukilembo (V.P.16), in a very poor farming community deeply affected by AIDS. At the time, few could have imagined the story she would go on to write.

Thanks to the support of Partage Tanzanie and her sponsorship over 15 years, Sylivia was able not only to attend school regularly but also to continue her studies beyond high school and on to university. Today, she works as a social worker for the government in the Singida region. She is married to Bartholomée, a dedicated teacher, and together they lead a fulfilling family life with their three children. Her journey is inspiring and a beacon of hope for so many others.

Sylivia’s visit held a special significance: she simply wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the help she received, for the trust placed in her, for the opportunities that allowed her to build her future, and today, to give back to others in turn.

Her story reminds us, with deep emotion, that every gesture matters and that the impact of our commitment can be seen years later, in the lives that have been transformed and the new families that have been built. What better way to start the year than by sharing a story full of gratitude and hope?
